Venice

It's hard to describe Venice for those have have not yet experienced it. It's kind of like stepping into a fantasy world of ornate palaces and dark alleyways from a time long ago, yet it is real and exists and still feels otherworldly if you choose to look past the hoards of tourists and colossal cruise ships.
I've been looking forward to Venice for many reasons. One of which was to meet the 'The Four Tetrarchs'. These two sculptures date from around 300AD have been stuck on the side of St. Marks Basilica since the middle ages. The story of the Tetrarchy is awesome and you can watch a YouTube vid on it HERE but essentially the sculptures are insanely old, highly significant and here they are in the corner, largely ignored by the thousands who visit St Marks Square everyday.
I promised the Augusti and Caesars I'd be back to hang out again soon.
'Till then Venezia.
